New Confidence and Direction for Your Church

JSP’s special contribution and message to the church today is very simple—and yet seriously challenging: ‘Let’s get more Jesus-Shaped’. If the church in the UK is to survive, especially in the most disadvantaged areas of our land, there is need for a radical re-shaping of its life in a way that is inspired and informed by the three year ministry of Jesus. Gordon Dey, JSP Team Leader comments, 'JSP offers fresh vision for churches to move out of their cul de sac and rediscover the Way of the Kingdom of God that Jesus taught and modelled. His priority for connecting with common people, and the outspoken challenge he brought to the religious and secular authorities of his own day can again be our inspiration and guide. Jesus wants to walk the streets of Blackpool, Bradford and Birmingham by his Spirit, through his people—and inspire his priority for including the "least and the lowliest".'

Andy Delmege, a JSP Trustee who has encouraged JSP adoption in Birmingham and whose work includes chairing the National Estate Churches Network, states, ‘It’s a special joy to see churches that serve large urban estates find the new confidence JSP stimulates. It’s also good to see this taking place irrespective of any particular church tradition.’
